DJ Methodical began by listening to mix tapes from his favorite DJs, which inspired him to create his own. His music selection spans Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Reggae, and alternative, reflecting his goal to bring a universal music experience to audiences without being confined to a single genre. He emphasizes music with substance or a message and enjoys seeing audience reactions to their favorite songs. DJing for him is about "experiencing the evolution of life through music"
